I'm Julia, the face behind JLouiseDesigns. I started this business in 2025 after I realized how passionate I was about photography and capturing people's special moments. My fiancé likes to say that I "love love," and he could not be more correct. I have always loved photography, but after studying Journalism in college and moving on to a career in communications and marketing, I realized that whenever I was assigned a photography project, work suddenly didn't feel so hard, and capturing the special moments between people at those events left me wanting to do it again and again, and that's how I ended up here, doing something I love - helping capture your unique love stories.
All About Me

Four years ago, the day after I graduated college, I packed up all of my things and my cat, Miss Mai, and moved to Madison! It has been the best choice I've ever made. My fiance and I have been together for 9 years, and I could not have been more excited to finally start living together after spending the first 5 years of our relationship at medium-distance.
From there, I started my career in Communications and Marketing, but was always drawing, photographing, and creating in my free time. I noticed I always felt the most like myself when I was creating, and when I began photographing more seriously at work, I noticed how much I loved capturing intimate moments between people at events. I think those moments are what make or break a successful event, weddings included. So, when I'm able to get that special moment between a newly engaged couple, a sweet whisper between family members at a wedding, or that special quiet moment between a newly married husband and wife, I'm left knowing I'm doing exactly what I was meant to do.
Of course, it helps that I am capturing one of the happiest moments of people's lives, and it is an honor to be trusted to tell your unique story through my lens. I want every couple to get to know me so I can highlight them and what makes their love story unique when we're together. When it comes to your wedding day, I want to be more than just your photographer; I want you to share day-of visions with me, feel like you can check in whenever, and ask me any questions. My goal is to make you as comfortable as possible in front of my lens.

When I'm not photographing weddings or at my 9-5, I am usually snuggled up with my cats, Miss Mai, Milo, and Merl. Drawing from photos that inspire me or the things in my brain, and here's my shameless RedBubble plug, finding my newest comfort candle, or playing video games with friends.
